The Alahmbra is considered one of the greatest palaces eve built and one of Europes greatest attractions, get advance tickets.
Unfortunately the lions were being renovated when we were here.
Just outside the main palace was a gardens for summer relaxation. It is full of water features.
Ronda
Look closely to see the walkways, gives you an idea of the size of the caves.
Stopped to see the caves on our way from Granada to Rhonda.
We spent one night on costa del Sol at Torremolinos.
One of the most famous sites of Rhonda is the Roman bridge over the 500 ft deep gorge.
This is the oldest bull ring in Spain.
Merida, Caceres, Trujillo
Merida has some of the best preserved Roman ruins in the world. This is a bridge built in Roman times.
Caceres is walled city, this is one of the entrance gates.
We stayed in a parador in a renovated 15th century palace. highly recomended.
Trujillo is a medival walled city.
An ancient moorish castle crowns the hill top.
This is the home town of Francisco Pizarro, the solder that conquered the Incas.
